In between

March 7th, 2008 by shewrites

I refuse to wake up,
yet i’m not asleep,
drifting between reality and dream,
the fear of living jerks me up,
the discomfort of truth dispels sleep,
yet i am stuck in between,
finding nothing but nightmares,
stuck, in between.

“Failure is never FATAL!!”

May 11th, 2006 by shewrites

Friends, what kind of human being does not know failure? Everyone knows the feeling. The taste of bitter jealousy when others took on the winning cup you slave your entire holiday to get, the massively huge void of dissapointment that hit right on your crying nerve, not to mention the prick on your self-esteem that will take ages to pull out and what’s worse is the arduous feeling that you could never ever get to the top even when you have tried your ultimate best. Then, not everyone gets to understand the depth of failure on your measure.

Before anyone got too far with this article, I’d like to give a short summary. Do not expect a solution to your failure but learn something. This is not a one-size-fits-all formula to winning.

ok.It is fact and gurantee that you will have failures over failures and disappointments over disappointments. MARK MY WORDS that failure is inevitable. YET failure is what we MUST all go through in life. It is a process of learning and surviving. Therefore to survive, we must fail. ha-ha

BUt, of course, don’t be daft. The wise one never repeats the same mistake. Unlike hamsters. (I mean, fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, shame on me!). Then again, it’s really ok to go crazy and amiss. Don’t worry, try it, you won’t die. Nobody’s is perfect. The only perfect One is God and He allows us to make our own mistakes. How cool is that. Because we’ll learn, solve, create and teach others. The fundamentals of teaching is making your students experience the lesson.

AND, we will NEVER fail FOREVER. It will NOT happen. So, don’t depress yourselves just because you failed your exams. So what if you’ve failed. React, shed some tears and get over it! The world is still spinning on its own axis at 21 degree to the West (correct me if I’m wrong). The truth is, life goes on. the question is, do you?

To those who survived failure, cheers! -Sarah-

Those darn cats!!

Felis catus!!Felis nigripes!!Felis concolor!!Felis catus x rufus!! Why did God ever created them?!?!? THEY are disgustingly greedy, yet, acting coy about it! They think they walk on a red carpet with a golden feline throne at the end of it! Honestly, these uni-cats thinks they are royalty and we are their subjects. Subject to their whims and demands! Well, demand my foot!! I am giving them my slipper for their whims and a sock for their demands! Those nasty kitties! Never ever set a paw in my room again!! That’s not where you can enter and sleep, or poo poo, or do your thing!??! And don’t think I don’t know what you did last time with the other cat~! Sometimes, I wish I had a shaver…maybe I should borrow one from the guys…then …muahahaha~~…How would you like it? Bare back or bare it all?

(Gasp! A vision of the De Vil woman appeared on my mind.)

Alas, that is not what "moi" had in mind…

What a sane archi student would do is;  take a tape(masking tape is much prefered, as it is adhesive to most surfaces), pull a little tab out and stick the whole roll on the feline’s behind or tail, whatever, and set it scattering in the hallway. Or sometimes I play dunk-the-maskingtape-from-far with the cat. They never come near me for a while. I have peace.

  …

Then again, they never seem to give up, one of them really gave me the shrills one morning when "it" climbed on my bed and rub itself on my still sleeping self. Now, eventhough it has soft furs, and was really warming me up, but that doesn’t give it permission to jump in from the window and lick my legs! Yeuck!! That is considered waking at the wrong side of the bed. That’s it, I’m using UHU this time… and I should stick a bell on each of them.

I know I could be a glutton at times, but the prospect of sharing your food with a cat-being is just enough to make me choke on my appetite. Yet, the public demands cèst moì to treat the little kitties gently. Dang it all! The place is littered with kittens, as if the streets are paved with fishes!

Though, curse my soft heart, at times,

they look really cute. Only at certain angles, though. With every fur in place, and a bushy tail. I’m not saying that I’m liking them, they still have the "attitude problem", just that I admire their poise and grace. As furious as I sound, they are always at peace without a single clue that danger is lurking around with a masking tape.

Ah, who am I to question God’s creation, I am one of His too.

"How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. "                   Psalm 104:24

                                                                    Miao, ciao, whatever.

She breathes

October 23rd, 2005 by shewrites

She breathes, sighs mom and dad. Even though, she needed a second spanking from the doctor, but she breathes. A new life is born into the family, another name is created for the new body, and as she cries, all of them laugh as though there isn’t a care in the world. I guess they couldn’t care less that my butt hurts.

I guess that’s how it’s gonna be when my niece arrives;) Albeit after 20 years, the tradition never cease to differ. The doctors are still gonna slap the smooth buttocks of a baby, and everyone awaits in anticipation the beautiful brawl of the new kid. With its innocent legs in shackles, there’s is little that a baby could do. Not to mention being held upside down, and with a baby’s knowledge of hand signal, yep, there is little that a baby could do, but CRY. Out loud. Wail, I would say. Non-stop. Or brawl. So many words to describe one miracle. She breathes. She lives. It doesn’t matter that she’s the source of noise polution from now on, she would be the most beautiful baby ever born.
